For me, it is the glamorous female digitized voice from Test Drive II intro, remember ? "Accolade presents... Test Drive twooooo". Also, the head chopping (and kicking away by the hobgoblin in charge) from Palace software's Barbarian games. Not to forget the out loud word of caution "Beware of traps!" from the rather unpopular Sword Of Sodan.

Nope. It was: "Accolade presents... The Duel. Test Drive twooooo"

Which reminds me: Mirrors in Test drive and Grand Prix circuit!

I think the red/white stripes (at the side of the road) in Lotus TEC (1) are pretty cool, they are not available in the V2 and V3.

And to stay with these games - all of them have hidden, mini games, which is great !

This made me laugh

You never blow a hut from the front, because you know the door will kill you, but at least the doors always moves the same way.

And it's possible to avoid the roof, you can see the direction its flying by following its shadow, and there's enough time to make a move.

Was it XJ200 that would toggle the audio filter to change the engine sound when you went through a tunnel? I remember that was pretty cool!

Multiple, multiple things in Worms.

But especially modifying the environment (to take cover, surprise, attack etc) and the shrinking playfield after reaching sudden death – both features now popularised by the recent Battle Royale games.

The two-player, two-mouse, split-screen simultaneous multiplayer in Lemmings. Excellent stuff.

How the main character puts on his clothes (and handgun) when you drag them to your inventory in Rise of the Dragon.

The way to 'climb the ladder' in Pirates! If you were good and patient in gunnery/fencing you were able to overcome much stronger opponents.
Being unable to divorce was kind of sad though.

Secondly i liked throwing items for damage in EOB, especially with enemies which were able to paralyze.

Yeah the soldiers who are at the back don't exactly move directly to where you order them, they linger in place for a moment while the people in the front row start walking as they of course want to walk in a line. RIP person in the back.

Almost forgot, the bard character in Bard's Tale I who could heal the party in real time while his songs (pleasing to the ears at that) were playing in the background.

Always liked the interactive title screen/level selection in Shadow of the Beast 3. Plus the awesome music of course.

You never throw a grenade on a hut while standing still, you start moving before the grenade exploded, so there's time for everyone to run.

Now that I am thinking about it, yeah, it was a lot of hassle to blow up those huts. But playing it always felt natural. I actually found hilarious that doors and roofs could kill you on that game.
