my camera is not the best + for some reason i cant seem to workout how to post a smaller picture anyway heres some more pics:

If thats what it is then i guess its good for using a 3.5 hardrive as they dont fit inside the amiga very well. Probably what it was put in for.

My A1200 has a connector like that on the left hand end behind the PCMCIA slot. It's for an external ATAPI CD-ROM drive.

Are right i see so all you need is the cd rom and no need for the scsi connector thingy?

On the rare occasions when I need to read CDs on my A1200, I just hook up a CD-ROM drive to the connector via a ribbon cable, and supply power to it from an old PC AT PSU via a Molex connector.
