Here's what you need to do:

• Download the GENETIC SPECIES V4605 Engine Update.
• Load your .HDF, mount the image under "CD & Hard drives", and tick "CDFS automount CD/DVD drives".
• Extract the GENETIC SPECIES V4605 Engine Update somewhere and then go into that folder.
• Double-click on "CDDA", tick "Show All Devices", select "uaescsi.device" and click "BEGIN GAME!".
• Select your resolution and leave the default AHI settings.
• Once the game loads, select "Config Settings" --> "Misc Settings" and turn "CD Music On".

Cheers - tested - all good

I attached the .cue file in the CD / drive image (as Aardvark said) the ISO and .bin ones do not trigger the music

The music for Genetic Species is better than it has any right to be for a game released so late in the Amiga's commercial life. So, so good.
