A4000 rev D ROM sockets?
A couple of questions, on the A4000 rev D, the kickstart sockets are at the bottom of the board, are these labelled the same as earlier boards and which one is which?
I *think* U176 (lo) is on the left and U175 (hi) is on the right, but I can't find a clear enough picture I'm also assuming there's no change as far as 512k limit or does the rev D support 1Mb/2Mb ROMs without additional hacks? (rev D isn't in PCB explorer, so I don't know if the extra address lines are hooked up, I suspect not) |

The same hacks are needed and the labels are the same as well.

You won't damage anything if you get them the wrong way around.

I'm just not sure which way round they are, obviously they are next to each other, just side on or edge on - I assumed they would be the same left/right otherwise the whole address/vcc routing would be different, but I couldn't find a good close up on the board to check!

Isn't it enough to label one chip U176 and one chip U175?
In any case, on the CR motherboard U175 is the one next to the fast slot, and U176 is the one next to the Zorro riser slot. |
