Can't see the CF card on A500

Hello all.

Purchased the "IDE68K + GottaGo FastRAM 8MB" from
AMIGAstore.eu
They have a "modified Adapter IDE40pin + cable"
that works with it to run a CF card.

ide68k works fine as amiga see's it.
Connecting the ide40pin and nothing showing as cf HD
Card has a power socket, and jumpers for master or slave.

Tried all settings and Nothing, New 4gb cf card, old 1gb card

They are hopeless for support, as purchased a 3.x WB rom that boots to a blank wb, Lib missing which i can download (pc) but cant get to amiga disk.

But more wanting the CF card to work.

Anyone got one working ??

Probably not overly helpful but if you have a few wires handy, you could make a makeshift serial connection with PC (assuming PC has serial port) and transfer Amiga files via that...

Showing "where" ? On Workbench or in HDToolBox ? Are these CF cards already formatted as amiga drive ? Which .device do you use in HDToolBox (if any) ??

Which DEVICE (scsi.device ? ) supports the HDD ?

It's scsi.device and you need ROM 37.300 or newer.

Found the problem, for the system to see the IDE68K + GottaGo FastRAM 8MB. I have a ROM 2.04. You need at least 2.05 for the system to use the ide side of it. LOL

Make sure you get at least 2.05 37.350. Much better would be 3.1, of course.

I wonder whether you could softkick a higher KS into RAM since you have plenty of it and only need 512K allocated for this purpose?

I used to do this for 1.3 to 3.0 lol

You can softkick from floppy to enable the IDE.
