Difference WHDLoad-Games "normal" & "fast"

hi!

i have a short question:

there are many whdload-games with 2 different versions.

for example the game "crystals of arborea":

WHDLoad v1.3 & WHDLoad v1.3 - Fast

so if i want to put these games into FS-UAE to play - which version is generally "better"?

should i always take the "fast" variant? what does "fast" mean?

"Fast" means that fastram is mandatory for the specific patch version. Sometimes the game runs faster, or e.g. some graphic glitches are fixed if it's running with fastram.

thanks for your fast reply. so if i play only via emulation and "virtual" fastram is no problem if i understand you right the "fast"-versions are the better choice.

Yes, probably. Using fastram (with the mentioned patches) also gives you a faster decrompession of files/faster loading times.
