Looking for Mac HDF files (with games) for ShapeShifter.

Hi guys,

I recently install the latest Shapeshifter and now need to find a few Mac HDF files, so I can give it a good try-out.

I've had a rummage around the EAB file-server, but couldn't find anything.

I'd like to try and track down one that has a few decent games on it, particular "A-10 Tank Killer", which looks amazing on the Mac, but was rather less classy on the Amiga.

Any comments of suggestions greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi Mike,

Try the links on this page:
http://system608.wordpress.com/show-me-the-goods/

The yearly archives 1984-1991 contain a fair few games.

If you send me a PM I should be able to provide you with a couple of hardfiles with some Mac games on them - like civ2, doom, doom2, marathon 1 and 2, pop, x-wing, tie-fighter, settlers 2 etc.

The hardfiles are over 1gb in size each, is that too big for the ftp server?

I think it would be good if the games were easily accessible in HFV Hardfiles but I guess there on MacGarden anyway

The emulator is MinivMac and the user interface is Gamebase Mac, by the look of it.

Edit: Just noticed Sheepshaver used as well. That's impressive!

emulator involved in gamebase are: basilisk2 and Sheesphaver. I have configured a game also to use FusionPC that run on Dosbox.
it is mainly 68k games, but i included some PPC games that could not miss on a Mac Compilation.

There is no a megapack. every games has own hardfile (hfv and dsk) that i have compressed in zip. It require some time to launch for this.

Do the HFV contain the the MacOS files or just the game - these HFV files could be useful for Shapeshifter users.

Ive thought about something similar on the Amiga -
So you have a main hfv with the Mac System OS ?
How does this launch the game?
