RYGAR vs RASTAN.
Well It's that time of the month again (oo'er) to pick a fav out of 2 games, arcade edition.
So, out of these 2 arcade games which do you think is the better game, which one would you happily spend more money on in the arcades out of these 2 if you had to choose?!

For me it's Rastan all the way. Love the music and the fact that you are basically playing Conan.

Rygar by a country mile.

Rastan’s graphics are as bland as its game play, there’s little exciting about it.
Rygar on the other hand, fast paced, beautiful game with no holds barred action.

Graphics Rastan
Sound Rastan
Gameplay Rygar (but not great, just good).

Overall Rygar, even though Rastan is much better technically

Shame Rastan was cancelled for the Amiga.
I remember the magazine adverts for it though..

I've spend lot of time at playing at Rastan and at finishing the game. ...and yes playing Conan was so nice

Rygar has attracted me but... i've play a bit at it but not so more, although this is a very good game.
So my vote go at Rastan
Now that Rygar is on Amiga it a good opportunity to complete the game

Rastan. I never saw Rygar at the arcade. I couldn't even get past level 1 at the arcade. Loved that game took a lot of my money. Good Conan clone

Arcade? Hit and miss. Rygar has more fun attacks but Rastan I give the slight edge overall.

When considering all versions though, it's NES Rygar by a country mile. ...but then NES Rygar is more like a very early Metroidvania rather than the arcade platformer. (When they made the Famicom version of Warrior of Argus I guess they were impressed by the success of Metroid).

Also have always been amused that all the western releases (and people who wrote the manuals) misunderstood that Rygar is not the name of the protagonist. Rygar/Ligar is the *BAD GUY* you're fighting against.
