Fingerlickin_B, shame you are not in the uk i have a couple of quicksilver g4 cases and a g5 case here ready for a project With all this talk though I am thinking of looking around the marketplace for a board... What`s your experience been like getting the board mounted?

cheers,

Well, the case hasn't arrived yet, but a few new holes in the case & some threaded standoffs with screws should do the trick.

I'll make sure to put pics up once it's done

Are you talking about Mac cases? Surely you'd want something a bit smaller?

Merry Shistmas all...third time I've typed this up & lost it

Efika's mounting hole closest to the serial port was almost dead-on, requiring just a little slot to be scratched out with my knife to allow a screw fit...the rest mounted with self-adhesive standoffs.

Ok, the PCI-AGP riser supplied with Efika wasn't tall enough, so I chose a Radeon PCI 7000 that was laying around, as the case was supplied with a correct height PCI-PCI riser card.

Problem is, PCI riser supplied with the case is 180 degrees off (actually the fact that Efika's PCI slot is mounted back-to-front)...shooting the graphics card toward the case side...hacking required:

After sh*tting myself from fear of the magic smoke & powering on...it works:

Fun:

Hey, Fingerlickin_B, that's just awesome, mate

You must be really pleased with that!

And the new MorphOS 2.2 has arrived just in time too.

Great pictures tell the whole story.

Nice one!

No need to wish you a Happy New Year now then, eh?

Looking good Fingerlicker

A bit late with this now, but I wonder if it would fit in here?

As always I guess, no "deep-hardware" functions, but system proggies written according to the commodore manual should work.

I've been trying to get AOS3.1 68k programs to work, but since concentrating on games, have not found a lot so far.

Apparently IBrowse works, but I've not tried it in MorphOS yet, as Sputnic works well, won't log into Hotmail or eBay, but IBrowse won't do that anyway

No! It's actually a 3.3V PCI slot, it's not "backwards"! This pic details it much better:

Nice info man, thank you!

Well, my GFX card has both slots, so it must be a 3.3/5v universal 32bit one...no problems in the future if I read the diagram correctly

So I upgraded the machine at least a year & a half ago...maybe two years...but never posted pics.

She's now running a slim DVD drive & front case USB ports are functional.

Powered USB hub inside the case draws the all important juice from the front port case board & USB via direct connection the the Efika mobo.
