If I have a 40Mhz chip, can I just use a 33 Mhz Jedec file with a 33 Mhz clock ? I know the CPU wont give a shit about being underclocked or is there a 40 Mhz as well ? Couldnt tell from the video if there was a 40 Mhz Jed. Last edited by whiteb; 19 June 2017 at 00:08. |

I found a perfect side project for some Amiga driver coding wizard once the SPI interface is stable and has a fixed configuration.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ethernet-Modu...-/201849490261 inexpensive, readily available, Ethernet with an SPI interface. Small enough to fit inside many Amiga cases. Plus everyone can just go buy their own and install it without having to spend a fortune on some version of the same thing with a proprietary interface by some company profiteering off the desperation of the vintage computing community for new hardware. That's what I like about this project, it's open source and uses standard protocols and interfaces like SPI to allow others to take it and expand it, customize it, etc. This community needs to transition to this kind of thinking if it's going to do more than just survive into the future. |

Although I am a bit confused by the description "Power Supply:3.3V ,Current should more than 200mA" should BE more than 200mA, or should NOT be more than 200mA ? I think they are saying the power supply should be more than 200mA to the Ether interface. |

You'll need an external 3.3V supply on the TF530 for that. The regulator might struggle and the power lines are borderline to carry that current. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi Plasmab, hope you had a good father's day & the amazing weather! Just wondering will the ide wait state be a fixed with both r1 change plus firmware or just hardware mod with r1, or is this still a work in progress, sorry for asking as I know you're very busy at the moment.

R1 will need changed but the issue you are seeing seems more fundamental. Try the 33mhz firmware when it appears. Soon I hope. Work is frantic until the end of June Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

@keith are you experiencing any IDE issues? What kind of a configuration do you have? What kind of a CF card adapter and what kind of a CF card?
Apparently the Vampire also has issues with certain types of CF card adapters. |

@alenppc have you tried your cf card/adapter on an A600? The TF530 is supposed to emulate that exactly.

@jgilcas cool, happy that others are also able to reproduce the bug, it means it wasn't me who screwed something up.
Don't worry about the maximum drive size, the one I was using in the photo posted above is a 60 GB drive I took out of a playstation 3, but I partitioned it under WinUAE to a single partition under 4 GB. You can access the rest of the space if needed with OS3.9/patches later. Also just watching plasmabs latest video right now. Love seeing the the Atari ST in action, never actually used one myself. |

@alenppc
With INT2 connected, I can't get any machines to post on REV 3, regardless of R1 resistor, Witt our without HD attached. It is incredibly finicky about the connected device, and I believe my issue is CF->IDE and SD->IDE converters that are attempting to pull power from the port (I've tested with/without additional power connected to them and they still light up.). I'm wondering if your non corrupting hard drive is adding capacitance/resistance to some of the lines. The ST always gets a bad rap. I feel there is an elegance to it; I can "feel" it in GEM and the engineering of the hardware. Though it won't ever replace my Amigas or 8-bit Ataris, it will always have a place here. If you get a chance, pick one up IMO. |

Very odd. I haven't changed anything about INT2 between rev 2 and 3.
