You're welcome Jack If that doesn't work, search here for 'mount ADF' or make a new thread in 'prb.Apps'.

I don't think that it works with NDOS disk images, right?

I tried with Brilliance.adf and it worked very well !
I didn't try with any game though. I will try with EA Adventure construction set, never used it, but looks great according to the screenshots on Lemon Amiga ! |

I voted for both.
I love the original hardware and collecting (original) games but for ease of use and for having everything accessable straight away then winuae really does rock. |

Of course nothing beats the original hardware, but that includes 1081/1084s monitors, right? My eyes actually hurt when I tried using one of them again.

I opted for the real Amiga option. Although WinUAE is very good and the emulation is pretty awesome, I still prefer the feel of fiddling around with the original hardware knowing that it is not emulated. WinUAE is handy though to put on your laptop when your away from home to get your Amiga fix and the guys have job a superb job with it.

Both - I like having the old original hardware back for nostalgia reasons and to be able to play games the old fashion way.... I like WinUAE because I have that on my laptop with several hundred .adf games that I can take with me.... complete with USB joystick

There is something about displaying amiga images and animations from a real amiga on a 1084 that still makes me go "wow". The colors seem so vibrant, especially some of the hand drawn art, and I think the luminance distribution of the crt pixels helps to anti-alias and blend the image giving the perception of higher resolution and color depth than there really is. certainly the same images on a VGA monitor do not pack the same oomph!! In terms of animating, the quarter pixel scrolling on Scala running o a 1084 is the smoothest text scrolling I've witnessed anywhere, period. Ditto with wipes and fades.

What? You can do a very smooth scrolling on all computers/consoles with hardware scrolling support.
