CD32 Laser replacement help!

I've bought a replacement laser for my CD32 despite cleaning it wasn't reading everything right and managed to pull the system apart without issue. Now I'm at the point where I've removed the drive bit from the console:

I just need to pull the laser bit with the black arm that runs along the silver bar away but I can't figure out how to lift it out. This is the new part:

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I did but I think I only searched the software section

Just soldered the points on the new laser, just need to put it all back together. Going to be interesting!

Yep, never done it before but looks identical to what was shown in the thread. Fiddly bit is putting all the ribbon back in.
