Any chance that this thread has the answer? I just sent my Rev1D board out to be re-capped today. Perhaps I should have him perform the fix described here?

I think there are two HighGfx problems - the first is dealt with in the link you provide and some people have had success modding the motherboard. The second is heat related and affects the aga chipset - there seems to be a temperature range where the alice chip produces artefacts. When the Amiga boots from cold it's fine, and when it's warmed up its fine, but for a window of time you get glitches.

This can be verified by reloading the old palette - upon doing this the flickering and corruption immediately shows. Loading thw Rebel palette up and immediately the corruption disappers. Very odd. But give it a try if you've got a problem with HighGfx! |
