Any chance that this thread has the answer? I just sent my Rev1D board out to be re-capped today. Perhaps I should have him perform the fix described here?

I think there are two HighGfx problems - the first is dealt with in the link you provide and some people have had success modding the motherboard. The second is heat related and affects the aga chipset - there seems to be a temperature range where the alice chip produces artefacts. When the Amiga boots from cold it's fine, and when it's warmed up its fine, but for a window of time you get glitches.

Right, this didnt work. It just took longer for the artefacts to pitch up. Bugger.

BUT....

What did work is changing the Workbench palette in FullPalette. I can't quite believe it but loading Rebels custom 16 colour palette completely stops all artefacts from drawing. This can be verified by reloading the old palette - upon doing this the flickering and corruption immediately shows. Loading thw Rebel palette up and immediately the corruption disappers.

Very odd. But give it a try if you've got a problem with HighGfx!
