Looking for old underwater game
I've been looking for this Amiga for years now. The problem is that I don't believe it was a popular or widely distributed game. I played it some time around 1992 to 1994. I've watched countless hours of Youtube videos about Amiga games, I've searched through this database as well as others without being able to find it. And when I say searched, I mean I clicked through thousands of games looking at each one.
It was an underwater/deep sea game where you swim around collecting/doing things, it was a flat 2D game but you could move in all directions. It had basic graphics from what I remember (no dithered textures) and various sea creatures like octopuses swimming around. If I remember correctly, you played AS a sea creature also. I know for a fact that it was not James Pond, or Super Frog, or any other popular title that you'd find on "Top 100 Amiga Games" lists. The graphics and creatures were not cartoonish. My brother picked it up in the US from one of the many small computer shops from back in the early 90s. I know this is a long shot, but I'm really hoping someone can help me out on this. I realize that there were dozens, if not hundreds, of games produced back then that had very limited distribution and have been lost to time. I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Thank you. Edit: something I forgot, I don't remember there being any man made elements, the environment was all natural Also, I found this video for Fury Of The Furries. At this exact timestamp is what REAAALLY reminds me of what I'm looking for: [ Show youtube player ] Edit2: the direct link didn't work. Go to 20:00 in the video. Look at my OP, I've added a link to a level in Fury of Furries which really triggers some nostalgia about my game. But it's not Fury of Furries for sure. |

It was definitely an Amiga game? It sounds a lot like scuba dive on the Speccy.
Edit ah you played as a sea creature too. Ecco? |

Unless what you look for is any of the above, can you remember any specific strings of text in the game? Any not blatantly generic string will do, but the longer the better. This is truly a long shot, but I might ge able to regex what you're looking for.

I'm asking because Ecco is a Sega exclusive title and, from my own experience, memory can get a little fuzzy over the years. Anyhow, there's a SNES title that partially fits your description, E.V.O. - Search for Eden, probably not what you're looking for but it's worth a look. |

Hi nightman
Some questions Do you remember if you could jump, run, shoot besides collecting objects and do things? Was a kind of platform jumping game , One screen or scrolling screen? One Level, Multi Level The main Goal? For example.. had a Boss creature to defeat at the end of the game Or your mission were to find some sort of treasure Object ? Or Gather all the pieces of something to build something? It had some particular background for example Zeus castle or just plain blue water? All this features can lead us to find more easily this game looking according to the video at 20:00 Searching... |

I remember it wasn't a jumping game. You moved around as if swimming. It was a multi-directional side scroller. You could swim up, down, left, right, and the screen moved with you. I don't remember if there were multiple levels, but I recall the "main" level that I played being very large, lots of areas you could go. You did not shoot anything from what I recall. It wasn't a fast paced game. You did need to collect things. Something in my mind says it was golden keys, but that might be wrong. The background was either all solid black or solid dark blue, but no features or objects in the background. You guys are all awesome . Seriously. I'm actually kinda hopeful I'll see this game again!!! Last edited by nightman; 20 March 2017 at 00:47. Reason: details |

What was the sea creature you controlled? What colour was it? Did you have other machines apart from the Amiga? C64 perhaps? Draw a picture from memory to make it easier to find otherwise I think it'll be impossible.
