Unhappy Nitro Intro disc

hi
can anyone help me with this:
back in the good old amiga days i had the game nitro 2disk version
1 game disk and a intro disk.
now i cant find a 2 disk version that works, the only one i can find goes to guru meditation during loading even on regular a500 or a600 in quickstart.
so stuck on the 1 disk version, that works but kinda miss the cool intro that was on the second disk.

tia.

So I assume you've tried the one on PlanetEmu?

EDIT: The two disk version, I mean.

... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX][h Spaikers].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][a][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][a2][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][a3][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][a4][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][t +5 Full-Evil][a][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][t +5 Full-Evil][a2][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][t +5 Full-Evil][bootable].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr QTX][h Spaikers].adf
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)[cr PDX].adf

I've put the ones I have into The Zone! for you:

... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 1 of 2)(Intro)[cr HZ].zip
... Nitro (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 2)(Game)[cr HZ][a3][bootable].zip

I haven't tested them though, hope it works

@denbob1200: well you have the right to think so,but i think its kinda cool intro, back then it was enough to get me into some nitro playing mood.

@Graham Humphrey: yes i tried that one,but it came up with guru meditation. so no luck with that

@ lunde
not saying intro was rubbish just that for such a small intro seems like a waste of a disk when it could have been put onto the main disk.

Sorry for bumping this old tread.

I think the game intro to Nitro is cool too, it would be nice to have the game on a single disk as the orginal.

In the TOSEC archive there is an extended ADF is it possible to make a 880kb of it so it can be played on a real Amiga?

Its touch and go, I suspect I might just be able to do this, but its going to take some repacking methinks.

Although it is hard to believe, i actually hacked the full game on one disk using a track loader, this was many years ago before brain freeze, i remember it used lookup tables pointing to the track and sector so it was simple to save each level.

And of course i no longer have the game to prove it

The intro was on the disk, it wasn't a very big intro if i remember

The data itself will fit, i've just done a quick calculation and compressing the intro file and game code file, the ingame files are $63020 in size, and yes it uses a lookup table which is located just before the hiscore data, so good memory

So it is possible to fit the game on a single disk?

It would be awsome if you could do it Galahad

Yes its definitely possible, just crunching the intro and the game code means it will fit.

Whether there is enough room for hiscore save is another matter, but looking into it

Yes, I also tried.
Intro(packed)+Main(packed)+Data(unpacked)=~873k

Galahad if you like there is a little bug that can be patched in RLE data of the intro image: to much data is written to memory and wrap up to >$7ffff (that can be $0 or $80000).
At Intro+$59E5E: 92FF0107F3->91FF80FF00.

[well, effectively there is other bugs here and there ]

Probably not possible; but if so it would be cool to squeeze in the [t +5 Full-Evil] trainer also
