Propper speed request when recording with "Disable frame rate" turned on.
Like many others, I have to record with the "Disable frame rate limit while recording" turned on to avoid getting sound sync problems. This is fine as long as you are using decent fast codecs (not too fast, not too slow, in my case DivX), but what "Disable frame rate limit while recording" is doing when it's on is to run the game as fast as possible.
I request a speed control for the "Disable frame rate limit while recording" when it's on. There is this new codec I want to use (TSCC) which is very fast, when using it together with "Disable frame rate limit while recording" on, the game runs like 4 times too fast... at FPS 200+ sometimes... and I really want to use this codec as it offer better quality and smaller file sizes. I currently use XviD at 640x480 because at 320x240, the games runs too fast. So please, is it possible to add a limit to the speed when using "Disable frame rate limit while recording"? Thanks. |

Eh, limit to frame rate when "disable frame rate limit" is enabled. I think I see some kind of conflict here
Anyway, sound sync problems must be fixed instead of adding more workarounds. I still can't duplicate any sound sync problems (except the one which happens if lag slider in sound panel is adjusted, it must be zeroed or sound recording will fail) I have seen only single sound sync log so far (and the problem was caused by the lag slider bug) and no configuration settings or program names etc, nothing... |

It seems as though after correctly applying a skip of 20 to delays of 2Xseconds it gets stuck and:
AVIOutput: diff=70.98 skip=20.00 AVIOutput: diff=71.35 skip=20.00 AVIOutput: diff=71.72 skip=20.00 ... then continues applying that (low skip) value even after the delay keeps upping from 50's then 70's. |

Try 1.3 first, it has some avioutput sync changes. You can also try adjusting sound "lag slider", it may help..

Recording in 1.3 was the first I tried when it was released... still delay.. even worse delay in 1.3.
A really annoying new feature/bug in 1.3 is that it splits the recording whenever pressing F12 . |

I guess:
AVIOutput: diff=0.62 skip=0.48 should be: AVIOutput: diff=0.0 skip=0.0 for perfect syncronisation? Well, tried several precentages with the lag slider and didn't get it to 0.0.. it still kept skipping frames.... could maybe get the diff to 0.0 if I could change the lag slider to 0.002.... and not 0.1+, -0.1... too big steps... donno..... This log is a continuation of the above one, but now trying the lag slider... |

the skip should be (optimly) as equal to the difference as possible, it's a compesation measure, really.

Ok, so is this possible to fix, Toni? You have my logs.... can you make something out of it?
I have tried all kinds of numbers and can't get the delay to go away with the lag slider. |
