Always wanted to do BGA. I love the process. It's amazing to watch. There is an IR heater at work but it hardly gets used. So sad. |

Hmmmm. Reballing graphics chips is a very contentious subject. Some people say that putting the cards in an oven will fix the cracks in the solder balls... but this is total BS because a standard oven does not get hot enough to meld solder. I could go on ranting about this forever.

Solved my LED 'problem'
Wired like supaduper said http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=2141 Couple of bends in the LED legs leaves it looking like: Just pushed through 1 of these handy holes already in the case and hotglued: the fact I used jumper wires means it's easy to detach/re-attach the wires to the LED Bright enough for me, sorry about the crappy cropped video still... |

Did you not want to do the 'shared LED' mod, it's non-destructive and 100% reversible? You drilled your case now bud. Here, have a look: [ Show youtube player ] |

Hahaha, sorry bud, my mistake, I'm on my lunch break... and not much of one, so I whizz past a few bits I take that back if I may? lol I just see the hot glue and LED and thought NOOOOOO hahah Good mod!! I'm not sure if my case has these, if it has I've not noticed them - it's a 1994 with the non-embossed logo, just a white printed Commodore. I'll look tonight. |

Ok, got programmer and finally found impact.
However after programming both chips with latest jed files and verifying. It doesn't seem to work. It doesn't show up in Early startup and boots to CD32 animation. Any idea's, I have tried altering clock buffer jumper, still same result. |

Clock jumper must be on last two pins nearest the IDE port. if you are seeing the chain thats a good thing, reflash again..Ram is first chip on left and MUX chip on the right. But before you do you must must do this..... even though probably already have...... scan all the Joints for bridges, or no soldered legs with good magnification, trust me I have done quite a few and still have the odd hiccup also if you do find unsoldered legs ect you must flash again |

I haven't tried with the latest firmware, but the card was unstable for me without clock buffer on the original one

Man, it feels like everyone has a different case of everything for anything. Gotta "love" Amiga computers :P

I did scan over board, while waiting for programmer. I have very good eyesight, . Ill try again later, as I was trying in work, so it could have been a dodgy CD32.
