It appears my downloads have "expired" - I thought I had ten but now I see it's limited to 12 months. Do I need to buy it again?

Well, actually, after 12 months you cannot donwload any version, present or previous. So it's not only if you want to keep getting updates. I was unaware of this and ended up missing 3-4 updates, which was pretty annoying.
So it's x number of downloads or 12 months, whichever comes first, and you're out. |

Yes, I thought it was restricted to a number of downloads, rather than a timespan, so I was saving them until I was ready to rebuild my WB installs.
Jens very nicely updated the expiry to let me download the latest version. |

I didn't know there was a new version. Thanks for the update. 7 downloads remaining.

Ah, yes... some news on this. A 2.5.0 of P96 is currently under beta testing. Current release date is not yet clear (does not depend on me), but there is a tiny little extra feature that will become available, so I'd rather share a screen shot.
That's for the graphics cards that are currently under active support and part of the package, thus anything that is based on the Cirrus or S3 chips, and probably (but untested) for the NCR and Tseng Labs based cards. The driver interface is backwards compatible, so we don't loose any third party drivers, though you may ask their vendors for an update to support the new feature, the new API is already documented. There are a couple of restrictions that arise from the limitations of the legacy VGA standard this is based on, the most prominent one being the amount of graphics memory. But other than that.... well, it's working. Again, please do not yet ask about a release date, we will see how it goes, but as far as my work is concerned, I'm already pleased. |

Sure would be nice to be able to buy P96 but I can't log into the shop to do so.
UPDATE: I'm an idiot, disregard above. *facepalm* |

That's fantastic! No such feature for the ZZ9000 though, or is that "emulating" one of these chipsets?

This is entirely different from what Os 4.x does which instead clips and moves bytes around. However, our 68K is too slow for this idea. This technique also explains the restrictions: Only two screens at once which also must share the same pixel layout (i.e. both 8 bit CLUT or both HICOLOR). As VGA chips do not have a copper, the palette cannot be changed mid-screen either. |

I just wanted to buy it because it's still in development and I want to support that. My problem was that the store uses different accounts from the forums and my brain was too damaged from work to realize that at first |

I'm always updating these drivers for my Picasso IV when available. Never sure what improvements there are, but I do it anyway. I'm an upgradaholic

ARE YOU KIDDING ? Screen dragging ??? :-D :-D Well I have bought it twice now so this rocks ! I hope I will be able to use it on the Chameleon MiniMig AGA core ! (p96 function in beta, very experimental apparently but anyway nice) Anyway screen dragging is one of the features most iconic for Amiga GUI.
