Myst CD32 ISO

Off topic, but I had a quick look at a MYST CD32 ISO as well, including NVRAM saving (you need to quit the game in order to trigger writing a file stored in RAM: to the NVRAM, similar to stuff Cobe and I have done in the past). I'm not certain that it's properly loading or saving though.

Eeep.

@AmigaJay you're more than welcome to take over this project and publish if it's working for you. Though admittedly I haven't tested on real hardware, just WinUAE.

Haha. Honestly I want you to take it :P otherwise I might never get around to bundling it up, sorting out covers etc and hosting it. Same goes for T-Zero but I'm not sure I'd be able to get it stable anyway.

If you're not interested, I'll look into publishing it myself sometime.

excellent. Let's hope it runs sufficiently fast. You can have bad surprises on real hardware between CD access and crap memory/CPU when on WinUAE everything flies.

this is how i played myst soon as it came out i bought it though my cd32 by that time was upgraded with a sx-1 and 8mb
back then the game was awesome and i was surprised i could play it on cd32
had microcosm too but that had like 10min of fun then was shelved
most of that fun was just watching the full motion vids then
i think i might still have the cd but its buried along with amiga format and aminet sets which i know some started to rot

save the game by right click during the game.

when restart the CD32, the game found the save

before start the game, can choose the resolution.

restore......;
and i retart from where I left the game before

Some gameplay .... I surprise by the loading time who is very good, 1 or 2 seconds for next screen, it look so good for CD32

So MYST just opens up a HAM6 Custom screen and reads Mousedirections under IDCMP ?? But that would be a lot of CD reading. How did you align the files on the CD for maximum reading access??

Pardon my ignorance, will this work on a stock CD32?
