Thanks for that, I'll have a look and see what the story is. Perhaps I've corrupted something in the window or screen properties.
Well, let's just make sure I have this right. You want to load an image, swap some colours, remap the image so it looks exactly as it did before, and save the result? |

Gotcha. That's probably a little more than I was thinking of including, since colours could also be modified, making remaps more than simply swapping the pixels corresponding with the pens. But I was thinking about it anyway and will see about including it in a later version.

Found the issue with the menus - I somehow managed to drop the WFLG_NEWLOOKMENUS flag from the window, resulting in OS 2-style menus, but forcing an OS3 palette caused both foreground and background to be black. It's an easy fix, and doesn't affect MagicMenu (which is probably why I didn't spot it myself). @daxb I can't reproduce the event under Magic Menu problem. Can you tell me more about it? I've tried setting MegicMenu to sticky menus, and clicking on items over the palette area doesn't trigger an event. Is there anything you can think of that might be special about your setup? What magic menu settings are you using? |

Without MagicMenu I`ve the same menu color (bg/fg). Thought my settings did that. The usual patches (MCP, SystemPatch, FBlit, FastIPrefs) are not responsible for the menu click palette issue. Maybe something else but haven`t checked. If you can`t reproduce it, ignore it.

I've just uploaded another small update to PaletteEd, fixing the all-black menus, and adding colour recognition. The colour recognition causes a bit of a slowdown when selecting colours on a slow (020) machine, especially with a long list of colours, so it can be disabled via a menu item. The list of colours is the standard HTML colour set, but is stored in a plain text file so can be modified by the user. Also, a pen can now be set to any of the named colours by selecting the desired colour from a list.
Still no RTG, NG, large screen or image remapping support, saving them for when I have more free time / fewer other projects happening http://www.robthenerd.com/paletteed |
