Few questions.. Trying to decide if I want to buy WHDLoad or not...

I started using Amiga Forever & Workbench 3.1, and found WHDLoad and I'm trying it out. Right now, I'm just trying out WHDLoad, but if I decide to purchase it later, would I need to reinstall all the games to remove the nagging screen, or will they just stop when it sees the full version??

Is "whdload.de" the only place you can buy it? Is there a cheaper one available somewhere?

Nope - nagging screen automatically disappears when you install the keyfile (as well as letting you play games that need you to register first).

As far as I'm aware the official site is the only place you can buy it from. It's well worth the cash though.

Sure is. And if you ever come across someone flogging them on eBay or offering you a "dodgy" one - just say no kids

i bought a keyfile direct from the author (whdload.de)... its the only way that insures that whdload continues to be updated and supported by installs

i am happy in the knowledge that i can (in some way) support amiga developers even now!

its well worth the money

Yep! Buy it. It's a a bargain and only right to help support (and thank) the developer.

And, while we're at it, give a donation for WinUAE too.

ONe of the best investments if you like playing the amiga retro games. I bought mine years ago and I don't regret it one bit.

Cheaper???? Come on man, 20€ is nothing compared to is amazing job developing WHDLoad.
It's well worth supporting the project.
It's one of the things that keeps this all amiga thing going because most of us only intend to play the games and have a nice and quick way of doing it instead of using floppy's.
That's the all idea.
I am a proud registered user and don't regret it one little bit.

20€ is dirt cheap considering the sheer amount of work being done on whdload and the installs over the years.

Well worth the money. Reading this thread last night reminded me I had $50 sitting in paypal and I had been meaning to register for a long time, so I did.

I bought it long ago, never regretted it... excellent value for money if you ask me.

Also, I have nothing but good experiences with 'customer service'... I emailed the guy behind it some time ago since I'd lost my key... he emailed me a new key in just a few hours, no questions asked.
