Question Is it possible to make whdload use keyboard and not joystick?

Is it possible to map the joystick buttons to the keyboard arrows + some keys???
It should not be that hard to the whdload magician, that would be a great feature, many times the keyboard is better than joysticks/pads...

I fear that the problem could be individual - each game/slave had to be programmed for that "feature"

I remember asking JOTD for the 2nd-button feature in Agony, for spell display, and he had to program that routine in every single level...

why? there must be a way to have a tooltype to "emulate" a joystick in keys... a global tooltype coded in whdload itself, not the slaves... the slaves won't know what hit them , lol
but let's see what the wizards say on this, maybe it is way to difficult, easy said but hard done...

You can't "virtualize" keyboard or joystick without manual patching.

yes, patch the main whdload program... maybe?!? just like it makes a virtual kick1.3 enviroment, make a virtual joypad? dunno... just throwing my thoughts...
just map the joypad functions a game expects to be keyboard actions...

Listen to the experts like Toni - they know more than you do! It cannot be done. Lots of games that don't use the keyboard simply disable it. Most games that read the joystick are bit-testing pins on a custom hardware register. You cannot do it globally for all games. End of story!
