heh, you did the gfx for these dizzy games right?
i once summised that although the first dizzy game was never released on 16bit platforms, that indeed all the elements of it were re-used in later games, and that from these games the original could be somewhat remade. i got a little way into it a few years back then got bored anyways attached a couple of pics of it running. |

Oh just a bigger frame
Still interested in the floppy version of this, for archival reasons. I really liked that game even though I got stuck at some point where I quit. |

Wonder if it has parallax scrolling...? The ECS version doesn't and obviously it's tricky to tell from a screenshot

I coded it - aga had parallax quarter pixel scroll and used the unmodified sega genesis graphics (more colours & full image second parallax playfield).
You can copy the cd32 files onto your harddisk and just run the exe file from the cli , use -nocdda or -nocdaudio to disable the cd audio and re-enable the amiga music. You might need to hex dump the exe to find out what the command line parameters are , I forget , it was 1994 when I wrote it... Try -help , I may have documented them heh my floppy version was the exact same exe as on the cd32 version, just supplied a different command line option. There were some other extras in there , a few special aga only puzzles / cheats / secret puzzles & level. Also a few crazy aga graphic effects that we couldn't do on the sega version. When I dig out the source code I'll post up exactly what was added along with the cheats and secret puzzles. |

Extra levels? That would be brilliant delz, do you have any other stuff that may be rare that you wouldn't mind sharing?
What else did you work on? |

Lots of codemasters stuff back in the 80s and 90s then onto core design , Shellshock, ninja shadows of darkness, tombraider etc , now @ eurocom working with dan and others from ex-core design.
Lots of hidden stuff in all my games , most of it undiscovered to this day back then it was just a hobby, nowadays it's hard work, tight deadlines... Still enjoy it though. |

Wow! Please post a rant when you get the chance, from your humble beginnings in the 80's 'till now. I have no idea why but I love reading about users histories in gaming. Makes me wish I got into it.
