I am still not able to run the XTIDE Universal BIOS with the A2286 Bridgeboard expansion.
If anyone (except Toni ) was able to run a hard disk image, please upload your config (*.uae) file. |

It isn't. Real hardware supports multiple display cards.
It looks perfectly fine. Do you see any universal bios boot messages? (It should show some messages before DOS boot starts, after memory tests) Does it work if you use A2088? |

As I already said: BIOS HD setting has nothing to do with universal XTIDE BIOS. BIOS HD setting can be zero and it will still work.

Yes, in "CD Har Drives" I left "AT Ide Primary", it's wrong? Unfortunately, with the help of Google Translator I could not understand the last message of Toni, if someone helps my understanding i would be happy |

Hmm.. I think I had same problem, one of the universal bios packages don't have checksum (zero byte in place of checksum value), I had to load it in xtide configuration program (under virtual machine because it is 16-bit dos program which won't work in 64-bit systems) and then save it to fix the checksum..

Tested with the A2088T Bridgeboard expansion (the title (A2286) of the config is wrong) Last edited by AnnaWu; 29 August 2015 at 17:27. |

300 is correct default address. You sure your HDF exists?

A2088T Bridgeboard expansion
OK, the XTIDE Universal BIOS detect now the master drive. I can start FDISK and partitioning the detected hard disk image but the partition info will not be saved. It seems, the hard disk image is not writable. Maybe I have to change the address? Last edited by AnnaWu; 29 August 2015 at 18:52. |

I think I solved A2386SX invalid configuration BIOS message.
It seems to happen if monochrome mode is configured, I guess it isn't supported anymore? (EDIT: hmm.. it looks like A2386SX has different default mode config than other boards) (Also some other "wrong" BIOS settings trigger it) Boot delay also seems to be normal, it is some extra initialization. winuae.7z updated, it has some tweaks to support VLSI chipset init registers (used only on A2386SX) Last edited by Toni Wilen; 29 August 2015 at 22:06. |
