Yup, the site is currently down.

Definately nothing to do with your browser (as covered in another thread).

PlanetEmu does seem to be getting a bit unpredicatable lately.... Guess one day I'll have to download everything from it. I'd be nuts to do that though!

Was there anything in particular you was looking to download from there komunita?

I am nuts before you.... I am downloading all. With BTTR down you can't be sure how long this site will survive.

In my younger days I was an Amiga fanatic. Now with Winuae emulation being more predictable I am nostalgic and am vsiting the games again. I have already downloaded all games on Emiasylum and a lot of other sites like Amiga Island etc. Le Chuck is also down, good thing I had downloaded all some some ago.

Anyway is there any other worthwhile site to visit ?

Thanks for your offer.

PMSL! But a very wise thing to do... I have about 500 Amiga adf / hdf games residing on my PC and like you, concerned that the availabilty of sites to download from are becoming minimal

Yes, but it's not working properly

When clicking on e.g. Games, Demos, Animations, Slideshows etc. I get Server/Page not found error

Crikey!! Bad as me.... got about 500+ adf games on my PC and I think I've only played around 50 of 'em right through.

What I really would like, is for someone to revolutionise our lives by coming up with a pill that makes us stay awake 24/7.... Pro Plus don't quite go the full stretch.....and THEN I'll be in gaming heaven!

As for Planet emulation..... not looking too good at the moment is it?
Hoping there is a simple explanation.....

That's exactly what I need to know!

I have tons of Amiga adf games residing on my PC, but I also like to grab MAME32 ROMS, Spectrum and Amiga apps from time to time from this site. (I am aware of other sites).

If I were you I would transfer those tons of ADf's to CD's. You would regret it if something goes wrong with your hard disk !

heh heh.... I've safeguarded myself already!

Not only backed up onto CD's, but also everything I download to this PC is copied onto the old PC (no internet) in the other room.

This morning I received a reply to an email sent to World of Classics......

Quote:
Hey ya,

The World of Classics is closed now I'm afraid.. It became too expensive to run really, and wasnt getting a huge amount of visits... Not one person donated either :\ and the banners generated nothing really...

Take care

Mark.
What can I say, except

Wonder how long it'll be before Planet Emulation is back online....

Thanks for the info quahappy...This is sad news

I'm still hoping CPC464 will update his Amiga Emulation for Beginners website eventually but it’s taking a very long time. He said on Emulation Talk forum that an update was on the way.
