I played X Multiply to death on a wet week holiday in wales so i became rather good at it, I'd say it's a bit easier than R-Type.

Those 2 games are pretty good. Dynasty Wars is much better than the Amiga conversion. Warriors Of Fate (JPN) had a nice sequence of a woman killing herself and a baby.

Another cool beat 'em up is The Crystal of Kings. It's a modern "Golden Axe", you can also do a few SF moves like dragon punch, fireball. See here for information and screenshots http://www.coinopexpress.com/product..._Kings_68.html

If you download this game for MAME32 make sure you grab the Crystal Systems BIOS as well

All scrolling and tournament fighters, as well as all the R-Types.

I would say Lucky and Wild and Steel Gunner 1 & 2 also, but I have a problem with mouse controlled games. I can never move the target wiht my mouse, and the target is always stuck in a corner. Can anyone help me with this problem? I've got a version with the GUI, but it isn't the latest version.

Well, most good amiga arcade conversions are great in mame..

Some that just didn't translate well but are classics

After burner II
Blood bros (should have been perfect for amiga)
Dodonpatchi (pixel perfection)
Galaxy Force II
In the hunt (Cave or IREM, always good shooters)
Mercs
R-type
Rainbow islands, the way it should be played
Street fighter Alpha III (just perfect)
STUN runner
Strider (eat that megadrive!)

Somethin fun for amiga fans
Lemmings, a prototype arcade never released.

For those who don't know: You find screenshots to almost all games on http://www.klov.com. But as Marco wishes ...hope you can see the cross-linked pictures.

Baluba-louk no Densetsu:
You (obviously) have to collect the treasure chests. Funny about this game is that when you jump below the chests they'll change their shape. When you collect them then different items appear, bombs or shots, which you activate by jumping when you stand on them.

SVC Chaos:
How could I forget that game ! SNK and Street-Fighters characters in one game:

Metal Slug:
Not much to say, besides they're all great.

King Of Fighters series:
If you like beat em up's you'll already know (of have at least heard of) the KingOfFighters series. In this game you'll find characters of other SNK titles (as ArtOfFighting, FatalFury,...)The later titles are definately the better ones. There are little differences in gameplay and rules. You choose 3 or 4 team members, depending on the game. In games with 4 team members the 4th member is the striker, who can attack in a fight. In some games you may change the player during a fight. There are alot more rules, you'll have to try. I really like the graphics style of the game.

Shock Troopers:
Similiar to Commando or Mercs. You can either play with one player or a team of three, where you can change the player in game. Every character has advantages/disadvantages (speed, strength, ...). Nice graphics and good music:

Super Pang:
You like Pang ? You'll love Super Pang. It has a nice panic mode where balls keep falling from the top.

Splatterhouse:
This game has really great atmosphere. I love the graphics, the music fits well.

Windjammers:
Pong-style sports game. You either have to hit the wall behind or the floor of the opponent area to make points. Doesn't look great from the screenshots, but much fun in 2 player mode

So, enough for now .

Aero Fighter series - nice scrollin' shooter

Alien vs. Predator - nice beat em up...

Final Fight - My fav beat em up - Note: That's Fred and MickAKA in the middle of the screen, next to the timer

Last Balde series - beat em up, but with swords Cool scenary...

Magical Drop - nice puzzle game

Mr.Driller

Marvel vs. Capcom - if you like SF style combos, this is the game for you...

Super Sidekicks series - SNK's well playable soccer game

That's enough for now. (Limit 10 images per post :-))

Thumbs up a coupla' games

Liquid Kids:if you go past the pityful main character and the kind of strange control of the waterballs, it's a great game along the lines of Parasol star.
it's colourful, consistent and very alive
as klow site takes away the fun of getting screenshots, i post none and i'll attach some later today after a play session.

and of Mazinger Z, Salamander 2 and Golden Axe 2. this one, the more i play it the more i like it

It would be better to provide screenshot, will just take a while to do...

I'll start to update my list now, they are all wicked games... I won't be doing this one from my first post though

@Konrad: Shock Troopers rocks. I could finish this with my brother using only 1 credit each...

Shook Troopers has high replay value, which is unusall for arcade games.

To complete the game you can take different paths with different characters makin' it look very different every time you play the game. (not sure how many different paths there are)

I completed the game some longt time ago...

What does this mean "there are known problems with this game, screen flipping in cocktail mode is not supported". The games seem to run fine, so I just wondered what it meant.
