Bummer! The ProModule must be the problem if it produces the same results on different CD32s you have there. Bizarrely, trying a CD32 emulator on your CD32 + ProModule set-up might be your only hope!

Fix it for good; so all People that have those Timing Issues can Play it.

Uhhh, usually people with computers with timing issues, fix the timing issues (on hardware).

After you select the language, the game craps out and shows an "out of memory" message screen from Krisalis. It allows you to retry by pressing the left mouse button, but the same screen will keep popping up.

Arabian Nights is not 100% AGA compatible (and AGA = A1200 and A4000 in this instance BTW). It could be that V1.01 was released to improve AGA compatibility. I won't know for sure until I test it.

I haven't been able to find any difference gamewise, but it appears that V1.01 does indeed improve AGA compatibility.

The original version of Arabian Nights V1.00 displays an "out of memory" error message screen from Krisalis after selecting the game language (even with degrading) on my A1200/030, whereas V1.01 loads without problem with no degrading. All the cracks of Arabian Nights I ever saw back in the day were based on V1.00, hence the need for an AGA HD fixed version. Kudos to Krisalis for doing the right thing back in early '93 and not leaving new A1200 customers in the lurch with a non-working shop-bought game!
