Thanks a lot. I did worry for a second, as I tried to work out in my head the likelihood of the score wrapping, it was a close thing. I hit F12 when I lost the ball and in the end I thought that a video might be the best way.

Yeah, when I was playing it I noticed most of my score on Beat Box came from the end of ball bonus, not from the table itself, and on my next tries I was going to try to focus on this.
But I never thought about having this kind of score |

Hi there, I updated Capehorns score to his actual score, as someone could beat it using the same method. Im sure everyone has a mobile phone they can use to record screen footage and prove their score, even using real Amigas. Someone might come along and beat capehorn score, but have it reduced to 9,999,999,999 with his suggestion, which makes the score unbeatable. He might even beat it himself with the same method, or on another table. I think the 9,999 etc could be used if players cannot prove their scores, but hopefully top players can pause the game on their final ball, and go get their camera or phone ready, maybe taking regular snapshots. UAE users can press F11 to pause, and use the screen record options.

A massive improvement on Steel Wheel, not only my best ever score but I've also realised an ambition I've had for a while - to hold the top score record on every table on Pinball Dreams according to the Lemon Amiga pinball records thread. I've finally beaten John4p's Steel Wheel record. I had tried a few times to beat it over the years but never gotten close until now. I'm not confident the rest of my scores will stand at the end of the comp though, Lines has already got very close to my Ignition record already. Thumbs up, capehorn, massive scores!
I might try to improve my own scores. Probably have to try I-Don't-Care-tactic... Nearly threw computer out of window after a few 100,000-point attempts of Ignition-table. A bit of frustration because I don't have time to play, so little progress.

Finally managed to have another go late last night. Managed a slight improvement on all tables except Ignition. I'd forgotten how unforgiving the game is and how 'floaty' the ball feels compared to the later titles.
Steel Wheel: 10,353,105 Beat Box: 6,823,500 Nightmare: 13,983,180 Total: 33,975,484 (PS: John, only just noticed you're using the Lemon score table image in the first post. I can tell because the Lemon average is listed first. As we all know, EAB should always be first) |
