Lightbulb Easy Cloning Amiga HDD on PC

Hi Guys don't know if anyone else has used this but.

I Used freeware software called HDDRawCopy to sucessfully clone an amiga 2.5" IDE to a CF Card.

Was much faster than repartitioning and re installing everything.

The software first reads the disk to an image file then you can write the image file back to another drive/card.

Great bit of software for cloning CF Cards and Hard Drives.

Download from link below

I just use the HDF backup facility of WinUAE personally to save and restore my CF card. if this is faster and more convenient then i'll definitely give it at try!

I tried this. And I used an ide to usb adapter to connect the 3.5" Amiga drive (cheap china one) It read my Amiga drive easely, and saved the file.

Unplugged the IDE Drive. put an USB Multi card reader in, And burned the card (SD), Fiddled a bit to make the sd card reader to boot in my amiga and..IT Worked like a charm..

Verry usefull stuff.

No problems with several partition's either.. All gets down on the card and works fine, no problems discovered using the card for some weeks now.

Quiet Amiga and low power consumtion.. Nice..
