maybe nice tool is coming soon...
some times ago some of ya shouted out for a gamemap ripper for our beloved amiga games...
well look at the pic...its just a matter of time when it will be out for public release but i didn´t like to spread the program yet... at moment it´s really buggy and didn´t support many games... as you can see the tile selection doesn´t work good enough but should be fixed easy... you just need an uncompressed savestate and the tiles of the game. this pic was created in less than 2 min... the usage is related to the gfxrip tool from tomcat...so enjoy of another great tool next time... and don´t forget to send the gamemaps to the HOL team... http://xto.funpic.de/yojoegamemap.gif |

@akira...
maybe sometimes...but parallax and copperlists are pure assembler code that can´t be included easy... even yo!Joe! makes enough trouble because tile selection depends on where the figure is ingame located... after the map the mask "image" is stored in memory...i saw this with the tool... @all i don´t know if you really need such tool...have a look at the feedback... @cody could you update the HOL because i´ve uploaded the first 2 levels of Yo!Joe! so that all other can have a look what is possible with the tool... before you get bored of waiting you can find the tool the zone...
following keys are supported at moment.. p - save visible area as picture (a file called "screenshot.bmp" will be created in the folder where the program is located) right arrow - increase level width left arrow - decrease level width right arrow (NumBlock 6) - scroll in levelmap to right side left arrow (NumBlock 4) - scroll in levelmap to left side ESC - exit the whole shit... all files must be in one folder...!!! you can´t do too much with it because requesters have to be added and many other thing... even some info windows will be added where you can read something about the level...but i need more time... but with this example you can have a look how it works... have fun... |

Thanks for the demo x_to.
Looks like I'll need to learn how to use the sprite ripper first before moving on to the mapper |

@cody
thanks...perhaps you should request in the sprite forum for new maptiles.. EDIT: vertical scrolling added + save function improved: everytime you press P the filename will be added with a number...to provide overwriting existing files.. can be found in the zone... |

Hello,
x_to, when I use your tool, I have an error message box "Invalid stream Handle" and then the program quits when I click the OK button. Is there anything particular to do to make it work ? |
