CD32 - Requesting help looking for some specific games

Hi all,
old to the amiga 500 scene but new to the CD32....and loving it.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of homebrew "North and South" and anything by Cinemaware, especially "TV Sports Football" and "Rocket Ranger", "wings", "IT Came from Desert". I understand they were never officially released but hoping their are some homebrew versions out there.

Loods of good stuff out there...big shout especially to Amiga Jay et al, but cant get hold of some favourites and nostalgic gold for me. Not seen them in the TOSEC download.

Feel free to PM if you prefer.
Thanks in advance for any knowledge or help.

thank you for reply Damien. Yes I "Have" that one.

I guess its the older A500 cinemaware classics I am after.
Would rather not use emulation and like the convenience of CD32 these days (and compactness!), but miss these games.
Is there a reason they havent been done? A lot of other A500 titles have been covered.

Maybe Amigajay or earok could do a complete Cimenaware compilation for CD32

I'm sure that would be much appreciated indeed by loads of peeps

I did mention it to AmigaJay on his blog, but I understand its a lot of work and dont want to pressure the guy! I already owe him and earok a pint for what they have done so far. Would be awesome though...

Seems North and South is possible....ahem......

I know! Daylight robbery!

Thats really great news Jay! I look forward to that.
I missed the news of the Cinemaware re-releases as Ive been out of the loop for a long while. And now after a google search, I may have to invest in Rocket Ranger big box edition. Make up for all those X Copy parties in a small way....Ah the memories...

I can try to cough up a North & South image for you.
Does the game use a lot of keyboard commands? I haven't played the Amiga version in forever.

Akira that would really be above and beyond the call of duty thanks!

I dont think there were a lot of commands. Did use mouse on map screen.
For battles up down left right. change between units, fire.
was 2 player though.

As well as above, Also looking for operation thunderbolt, populous, meglomania, cybernoid collection...
Any point in the direction of these appreciated. I'm not bothered about controller enhanced. Just normal mouse/keyboard/joystick would be great. Nothing fancy. Would like to just be able to play on original hardware.

North & South whdload has CD32 pad support. could help

Cinemaware games are standard DOS. would miss the keyboard on a CD32. and CD32load won't help here: KickEmu/DOS games tend to load very slowly on the real console.

thank you jotd. WHD Load would be useful with a cd compiler I guess?
Im looking into burning to cd compilations but must admit ive got stuck.
I read the instructions and my eyes glaze over. DOnt think my 44 year old tiny brain can take it in. AMOS was never this hard back in the day...
is burning adf files to cd possible in anyway?!?
Sorry I am a CD32 newbie....was a500 back in the day. Good to be back but a lot to learn.

Well I tried to make an ISO of North & South but it doens't work.

WHDLoad complains that there's a "Disk.1" file it cannot find, yet the file is there in the data folder.

Anyone has any idea why this happens? The game runs just fine from HD.

Using WHDLoadCD32.

Nope, I have not. I didn't want to have to figure out the key to CD32 pad bindings.
