Loadstar C64 disks
Hey guys, I've come into possession of several 'Loadstar' disks - which is some kind of diskmag for the C64. They are on 3.5" disks - so probably only suitable for 1581 drives or CatWeasals etc...
Anyway, I don't want anything for them - just wondered if anyone here wanted them or maybe they should be archived somewhere?? I have disks: 126, 128, 131, 132, 137,158, 160, 164, 165, 167, 169, 171, 173, 174, 174 (yes twice), 177, 178, 181. Also Loadstar StarExtra #1-4 and 'ProSequest '97'. If not I'll just use them as blank DD disks... |

Can ya make images of them please ? You can do that on the PC with its internal 3.5" floppy. I can send you a beta version of SamDisk that can read .d81 images under windows - and so very quickly ;-)

Sure, upload it to the zone and I'll image them all in the next few days.

I've imaged all the disks - some of them failed, but this was probably to be expected with old media.
[Link removed - Graham] Please make sure that they reach a collector/TOSEC/whatever as it would be cool to have them archived somewhere Last edited by Graham Humphrey; 24 October 2010 at 02:01. |

Was it the loadstar disk that had the animated stick figure that was like a short story?

Yes, Loadstar did have the animated stick man - his name was Alfredo. I created two new Alfredo animations for the C64. They can be downloaded for free from the Binary Legends Website: http://binarylegends.5gigs.net/?p=dl Both animations are on a single .d64 image. |

I haven't been on IRC lately Jimbo as I'm recovering from a shoulder injury and can't type for long periods at the moment Just to make sure you realise these are 3.5" disks for the 1581 drive? (Most C64 starters don't have a 3.5" drive )
Either of you guys are welcome to them |
