Mark Forums Read...
Hello there RCK,
A request if I may? ...was using my mobile to browse EAB, due to a small screen I accidently selected "Mark Forums Read" It's not the first time I've done this Is it possible to add a "Are you sure? Yes / No" confirmation box to this option? Best regards, Damien. |

I do not want it there. Never happened to me and this would be annoying for me.

It's damn annoying...
On a computer you are never going to click this by accident ...on a mobile phone though, as I've proved quite a few times to myself; it can happen Anyway, I'm sure the boss man will come up with a suitable solution |

Then user cp / edit options / confirm mark forums read (disabled by default) -- should do the trick.

I also agree a second step would be annoying.
Is it on a search screen? If you go back, the search is saved and it will show all the threads that were there before anyway. For example, if I come here and click "search new posts", and accidentally click "mark all forums read", if I go back on the browser, the exact same search will show up, the posts just will not show as unread, but they will all be there (and usually I will remember which one was the one I read last). The search gets saved for a bunch of minutes. Notice that every time you do a search a new URL with a search ID comes up. This search ID will always show the exact same elements while it is still valid. |

@Akira; what?!?
No searching involved; top right under your "Welcome <username>" section there's an option to "Mark Forums Read". |

I was asking if it was after you did a search, or not. Was trying to help out on your current situation but don't really have any more info to help you further :/
The way I browse the forums is with a search to see what is new after my last visit, and from this screen is where I usually hit "Mark Forums Read". Regardless, from wherever I would do it, if I browse back to my initial search, the same posts will show, so I can continue browsing. It's the best way not to lose track in case of an accidental click on "mark all forms read" (as I have done it myself some times too) |

I use a mobile skin and Mark Forums Read is the big button at the bottom of the whole page, accidental click is almost impossible.
