But it seems to me that anyone wanting to use an Amiga nowadays needs one.

Yep I was thinking the same thing...offer it as an option on new sales

The "add to cart" icon has gone, which I guess means that the preorder stock has all been allocated. Knew I should have ordered this last night. Blimey, Amiga hardware sells out in 1 day? Jens will be pleased!

Refresh the page. That happened to me (hence my question earlier about how do we pre-order), there seems to be problems with the image loading for some reason.

Steve.

Steve.
Wish it was that simple, but I've checked the HTML - the "add to cart" button isn't there. I had the same problem the other day when I tried to order something else, and that turned out to be out of stock too.

Hey, Amigakit guys - great website, but an "out of stock" notice would be much more useful than missing functionality. At least that way we'd know for sure what the problem was.

Also - Christ on a bike, the link on the first page has a session ID in it. That explains why I had two items in my cart when I clicked on it, then. Please, someone, remove that link.

If everyone is using the same session ID you've got a *massive* security hole.

@ant512

youre right the link takes you straight into someone elses account. It is possible to see his name, address order history and to change his address...

A moderator ought to remove the link.

Eh? If I follow the link on the first page (just tried it again a couple of seconds ago) I can't access anybody's account and the "Buy Now" button is still there.

This link takes you to the item, with the buy now option.

@Steve thats odd, I click on the link in post one and can use the My Account drop down menu to look at his summary history and addresses....

Moderator please remove the unique session ID from the first page. Customers should log off formally once you have finished on the webstore- only use this link (without session id):

http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=821

The BUY NOW button is back.

This is why we need to support people running actual businesses selling Amiga stuff. They don't have it all, a few items are low quality, and non-Amiga common computer store stuff is slightly more expensive than elsewhere. But hero companies that still make hardware + software for the Amiga would have to resort to either wasting time running a business + webstore just for their products, or go the pre-order DIY pcb batch route, which is bad for everyone involved.

So I gladly pay a little extra to keep businesses like amigakit going, I know some guys are miffed||surly about them, but the more channels for devs to get stuff to users there are, the better for the community.

I use high quality rgb monitors, since I'm still stuck in the oldskool domain, which I enjoy But from the specs it seems capable, and what we need is old hardware and especially interfaces re-made in modern technology.

OK, /rant. But anyway, here's to gents that take the Amiga seriously in 2008

Just bought and paid for two. Now the excruciating wait for them to arrive begins. If anyone needs me I'll be sat in a folding chair down by the mailbox.

@gklinger
Thank you for the double order- dont worry as soon as they arrive we will ship out (early September)

@Photon
Thanks for your feedback - select resellers have to fund the production of the Indivision scandoubler/ff - full credit goes to Individual Computers for another great product.

Im puzzled at one part of your comment: which "guys are miffed||surly"? We work hard to keep our customers happy.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't meant to imply that you guys would be slow in shipping (I still can't figure out how you got my last order to me so quickly). I'm just really excited.
