Baseball game on ebay - new entry or not?

Hi, I'm putting this here because I need some of you collectors' info...

The pic attached was nicked from an ebay auction which is still running at the time I write this, and I wonder whether

MicroLeague Baseball

and

MicroLeague Baseball - The Manager's Challenge

are two different games or not, which will determine whether I do a new entry or leave it at the current one.
Could anybody give me a clue, please? I'm not into that sports stuff very much

They aren't the same game. MicroLeague Baseball: The Manager's Challenge was released in 1992. There's a review in the June '92 issue of Amiga World. There are also separate docs for the games on the LSD doc disks.

What I'm wondering is whether the existing HOL entry is for the original 1986 release or for the 1992 Manager's Challenge. Unfortunately PlanetEmu is down, so I can't d/l the Manager's Challenge to check the screenshots.

Well I *DID* have my suspicions, as MLB is rather for *playing* baseball than *managing* it.

So this is in TOSEC? Oops, I had no idea!

The original MLB is still management. MicroLeague Sports didn't make arcade style sports games for the Amiga (or any other platform I doubt). Take a look at MicroLeague Wrestling to see what I mean......it's a tedious menu-driven wrestling game much in the same mould as the old strategy games before RTS games became fashionable.

Anyway, you appear to be right. All files on the TOSEC disk have 1992 date, so the "(1986)" bit requires to get replaced by "(1992)".

So do we have a new HOL MIA then?
The 1986 version, without the "Manager's Challenge" bit in the name?

Using another theory, this 1992 release might be ML's only baseball release for the Amiga, whereas the "non-M.C." version was only released on other platforms?
