Question Amiga Shopper Request

Sometime during the latter part of 1992, Amiga Shopper ran a short series of Articles on 'Chaos Theory' and 'Fractals', I found them really interesting.

If any of them are available could they be uploaded?

Presumably you are looking for the articles by Cliff Ramshaw that were printed in the magazine itself, sorry but my copies of AS are long gone. What I did find was 'The Amiga Shopper guide to CREATING FRACTALS' [sic] booklet that came with issue 6 if you are interested I can scan it for you.

Thanks a lot OddbOd, I never knew that booklet existed 'till now.

I'd really like to read it, if you could scan it for me.

I've located the series - it runs from issues 18-27. Not sure if I'll be able to scan it this week or not as I'm pretty flat out at the moment. I have the little coverbook too. (came with issue 6: http://amr.abime.net/issue_1100_supplements)

Cover booklet is now in The Zone, it's a text over image PDF to keep the size down (if you're not sure what that is then try selecting some of the text )

I have uploaded a fixed version because I found several subtle mistakes in the body text, the listing font has also been made consistent throughout.

That series has been uploaded.

Amiga Shopper Issues 18-27.

Note: I couldn't locate the article in issue 24 (I didn't check really thoroughly though).

I am hoping that you may still have a copy of the Amiga Shopper Guide to Fractals that you could upload on to the Zone please (it came with issue 6 as stated above). I believe the book contained programming listing of creating fractals in AMOS.

We may also want to upload them to the www.archive.org so it can be preserved for all time.

I have the complete Amiga Shopper set scanned to PDF from issue 1 (April91) to 71 (Jan97), plus a scan of the Subcards and Subscriber Newsletters. The folder with them in is over 6 gig in size though so limits where they can go.
I can't remember where I got the link as it was about 4 year ago but it was a torrent for these. If you do a torrent search maybe it's still active, if not and if people are interested I could possibly make one, although it may be a while as my torrent client is pretty busy at the moment.
I also have the same for Amiga Format, Amiga Computing, and CU Amiga, maybe they're still active torrents also.

All of them are listed at Limetorrents plus others like Amiga Power, Amiga World and Amiga User International. If you start the torrent from there just make sure you have DHT and peer exchange enabled, more chance of getting a complete download then.

EDIT:
Just had a look on archive.org and they are also available there to download as single issues. Didn't check if the complete collection is available as a single file but it wouldn't surprise me, worth a look if your wanting them.

Be better off with the torrent then, would be a pain in the ass getting 1 issue at a time! All the ones I have plus some others are indexed at Limetorrents.cc.

Interesting little book that

I only keep all the paper originals

Craft for AMOS is your better bet. The Shopper booklet has like four small pages of listings.
