Backup Software
Hi all,
I have a ZZ9000 so I have network connectivity, but would like to back my Amiga up across my network so should anything go wrong I can easily restore. I'm not keen on imaging the CF every few days, so I'd like something I can run on the Amiga, do incremental backups etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? If need be I can run over an SMB share. |

I can recommend this https://www.onyxsoft.se/backup.html
I use it for exactly what you've described, although I backup to a folder on another local disk, then archive that folder, and put the LHA on the SMB share. |

If you are using AmigaOS 3.1.4 I recommend you use DiskDoctor for this, as it will verify the correctness of the filesystem structure: there is nothing worst than trying to restore a file from a backup that was archived corrupt.
If you find out that your precious data is at risk, and you want to perform a backup you can open a CLI/Shell and type: DiskDoctor COPY DH0: TO RESCUED: Here DH0: is the source volume and RESCUED: is the safe destination volume which will have all files copied to. |
