HDFs not working in uae4all2

Hi all,
I'm trying to use some hdf files from uae4all2 in android. When the emulator try to access hdf, an amiga popup with "not a dos disk in DH0:" message, appears. The same hdf files works well in winuae, mist fpga and minimig fpga cards... does anybody has any advice on how make an hdf compatible with uae4all2?

Thanks in advance!

Do you use partitioned HDFs or plain (big floppy disk) HDFs?

I guess that uae4all only supports the latter while the fpga computers need partitioned HDFs.

WinUAE supports both (partitoned HDF = RDB mode enabled; plain HDF = Surfaces / Sectors / Reserved specified in the GUI).

I use RDB HDD, if I recall. Non RDB drives dont work. May be other way around. Will have to check for you.

Hi all,
Thanks for the info and advices.
Finally I get it working, dumping the hdf file contents in a SD card drawer and setting it as HD DIR from uae4all2, it works very well!!!
Thanks!!!

I had this problem too,you have to have a hdf thats only 1GB in size and DO NOT partition it cos it don't support it yet.

I think you can use hdf of any size
For example i create 20gb empty hdf file via winuae.
when i select this hdf via uae4all2 then in workbench this disk recognized as not formatted.
But after formating this hdf disk, we can use it without any problem in uae4all2

Had this problem too but with UAE4Droid. Simple workaround is to create the HDF and then format it inside uae4all2 by booting the wb3 install disk

Just use a Classic Wokbench 68k HDF

That's what I do and it works great, WHDLoad, etc.

I use it on my JXD Gaming Tablet. I activated the CWB pack in WinUAE and added about 50x WHDLoad Games + my key file.

Copied over to my Micro SD and bobs your uncle.

HDF's stopped working for me completely, ended up using folders instead.
