UAE with access to PC's filesystem

Hello Amigos,

I am not a WinUAE expert, I had success installing an HD into WinUAE
and dont' know how to do it.

My problem now is that I need to setup UAE with read access to my PC's filesystem in order to read some assembly sources.asm files and
assembling them with ASM pro.

Any Help Please?

I am a newbye and need a step by step help please!

Many Thanks in Advance

Erm... this is the EASIEST thing in the whole world.

You selected hard drives.. and click Add PC drives at startup...

@alexh

very kind of you to post screens for me, I have created now a folder on the PC called New Folder and it has has device name DH0: into WinUAE.
I transferred files into this folder and I can see these files loadind the Workbench into df0: of WinUAE.

But can I install Workbench in WinUAE too?

How can I do that?

Many Thanks

Buy/Find yourself some workbench 3.1 disk images or OS3.9 ISO image

I would recommend combining them with http://amikit.amiga.sk/

All the details are supplied and an installer.

WB3.1 is oldskool

http://classicwb.abime.net/

Half the devtools probably won't work on WB1.3!

THX @alexh but:

I need to install an HD and WB into WinUAE.

I don't want to use AmiKit?

What should I do?

I even tried ClassicWB and added System.hdf but it says unpartitioned, then I tried to load the file Real_Amiga_Install.zip from the DF0: of WinUAE but it
says not a DOS disk.

So what should I do to have to install the WorkBench on the WinUAE HD?

Please any nice soul to help me step by step I am not expert with UAE, please?

Thanks in Advance

Erm you mount the DIR you want to use as your hard drive...

Then you insert WB3.1 Install ADF file into emulated DF0:

It boots to workbench... you click on DF0: then click on the install icon... follow the prompts and change disks appropriately.

thank you very MUCH! ALMOST SOLVED

Hi,

I solved creating an HARD file , then I loaded WB 2.1 on 5 virtual disks

formatted and created DH0: , then installed WB on it.

Then I crated another device called works addind a folder with

the command Add Directory and Archive and stored files in it in

order to read it from CLI.

But what I wonder now is: can I store files on the HD0: I mean

the device I have created with the hardfile?

Thanks
