WHDLoad Game File Naming Conventions?

Sorry for the confusing title, I can't think of a better way to phrase this. I have a large collection of WHDLoad game .zip files that I'm weeding through to keep what I want to play, but there are some odd naming conventions that I don't understand.

1. There are several zip files that say 2Disk or 3Disk that look to contain different files. What does this mean? For example:

A10TankKiller_v2.0_2Disk_1396.zip
A10TankKiller_v2.0_3Disk.zip

2. There are several files that have SLOW and FAST appended to the name. I assume this has something to do with Chip and Expansion memory, but I'm not sure:

DragonsLair&EscapeFromSingesCastle_v1.2a_Fast_1360&0980.zip
DragonsLair&EscapeFromSingesCastle_v1.2a_Slow_1360&0980.zip

3. There are files that appear to have different memory amounts listed in the name. How do I read this? Is this the amount of Chip RAM required?

Paradroid90_v0401.1_1MB_0692.zip
Paradroid90_v0401.1_512KB_0692.zip

But then again I also see stuff like this which would make no sense:

Intact_v1.0_15MB.zip

Any help in understanding these conventions would be great. I only want to keep what I need, but I don't want to delete files I may need for my configuration.

Some games have few versions. A-10 Tank Killer has one version on 2 disks (http://hol.abime.net/3171) and second on 3 disks (http://hol.abime.net/3172). So, the archive filename says what version is inside.

It means 1.5MB (not 15MB) of Chip RAM.
According to readme file from Intact installer: "The installed program requires 0.5/1.0/1.5 MB ChipMem".

So there were 2 Disk and 3 Disk versions of a lot of games? Why is that? Updates I guess? Well I guess I'll go with the version of the game with the most disks then. Thanks for clearing that up.

So I am right on the chip ram thing. Good to know (I only have 1MB).

Any idea about the FAST versions?

Fast versions are where key bits of code have been relocated to FAST ram meaning on 020+ game will run significantly quicker.

SLOW is where it uses conventional memory types game was originally intended for.

Re-releasing the games in budget form on less disks meant more profit for the publisher. Usually better compression (Super Cars) or removing some pictures (Daley Thompson).

1396 is the SPS game ID for A-10 Tank Killer so the game was probably installed using the IPF disk images, or in other words, an original rather than cracked version.

Ah ok. So if I have a regular unaccelerated machine I want the SLOW version then? Good to know.

Thanks for the help everyone. You learn something new every day.

Some games also have compressed vs. uncompressed whdload releases. Walker comes to mind.
