As Jean-François Fabre's remake isn't in the poll I'm torn...
...considering it's an 8bit micro the MSX 'version' is amazing.
...but the Amiga version *must* surely be the best.

...I gave my vote to the Arc version as it's the one I played as a wee nipper.
(and it's a direct port of the Amiga version)

A crushing majority seems to favor the Amiga version... XD BUUUT... second runner-up, ( far far behind in the back there somewhere..) is the SNES!

Could some of you that chose the SNES version perhaps explain why you know the SNES version to kick ass?

It has more colors, background music and runs smoother. That said I still prefer the Miggy version

Yeah, more gayish SNES colors, jerky scrolling (as on the miggy), annoying ingame tracks. Sadly there is no real perfect Gods version. They all have their flaws. I prefer the Amiga version too. Great palette work with mainly 16 colors.

I don't fear the hell.

SNES has more colours = but bad colors
same sound effects = maybe
music in game = which is very annoying, i turned it off.
and has faster gameplay = but it makes it not really better

Actually, that Acorn vote is mine! Busted!

Here is a video of it on youtube: [ Show youtube player ]

Maybe I shouldn't have voted for it, as I see no difference at all to amiga version, except it is missing copper background and green status bar at bottom (uses blue text instead at bottom). Maybe there is no option for in-game music also and the speed seems same as amiga version.

Sometimes game is better without music, it can make special, eerie atmosphere as in Gods or Myth.

Have only played the Amiga and SNES versions, so am slightly limited in my choice, but I vote for the Amiga version.

The fact that the Amiga version is a little slower is a bonus for me (crap reactions!!!) and I prefer the 'earthier' Amiga visuals too. SNES version is still top notch though.

Lads... I have decided to go for the SNES version. But which should I get...? The PAL or NTSC editions? Often the PAL can have nice fixes or additions, but it can just as often be a piece of censored trash.

QUICK reply incredibly appreciated. I'd like to start playing tonight, really. ^^

Erm, the Amiga version...
Well if you really want to try the SNES one *sigh*, then choose the NTSC version for the really fast paced Gods experience

The console versions suffers from the same jerky scrolling, the controls aren't really smooth. So play the PAL version. The NTSC port makes the gameplay even faster but worser to control.

I'll think about it, Druid. Thanks for the reply lads! I started playing the PAL snes version right after my first post, so I'm glad I made the right choice. ^^

My fucked-up Esc-key is making me somewhat frustrated and unable to enjoy the gameplay tho. :\ Can't even reset the damn thing.

Has anyone tried playing a bad copy -because of the copy protection you end up with an extra hard version

Why that would be the Amiga version of course though the Archi is virtually the same by the looks of it, but well it's an Amiga game being that it's so close

Actually felt like i was in some real world when i played it on Amiga and you just don't get that same feel with other versions

This game is one of Amiga's gems for sure

Yeah, that hard version is all I had for a while when the game came out. It always used to crash in the same place as well. Imagine how easy it seemed when I got a proper version!
