Help for Assigns?
Long time ago when I setupped my amiga, I installed app wich helped with assigns.
When program needs assigns it requested a path. It didn't save assigns, Any one have a clue what this would have been? |

Look for AssignWedge.
EDIT: http://aminet.net/package/util/wb/AssignWedge By Olaf "olsen" Barthel no less, so that also means you can get support if you need. Last edited by kolla; 24 April 2019 at 09:50. |

If in your system is installed "MCP" you don't need any other programs

@meynaf
Regarding MultiCX, on Aminet there is a "shareware" version 2.56, but also a bunch of prefs programs for MultiCX 2.79, 2.80... So, what is status of MultiCX? Where do one get latest version? |

I don't know exactly. I use 2.57 as later versions become annoying (shareware requests iirc).

If you also run ReqAttack, the request will look better graphically.

Quote:
MCXPrefs is only compatible with MultiCX 2.80, on MultiCX 2.56 it does not have the "AssignWedge" function, at least I do not see it. MultiCX 2.80 has the "AssignWedge" function but on an RTG screen you have to eliminate the Mouse acceleration and some other little thing, better MCP. No, better just use the original AssignWedge and avoid all the pain and headache that come with the "do it all and do it badly" multipatchers.

Yes, in fact, MCP is still better as well as being localized, even if original AssignWedge is more accurate

Seems that problem is that Assingwedge doesn't work anymore.
AND When I reinstalled MCP librarysearch? stopped working, I get requester.library v. XX cannot found and GenesisRA and Amidock doesn't start. |

I think you have a library conflict, verify that all the libraries in your system are compatible with your OS
