I thought it's possible to use an Amiga unzip plugin or something. Had some Amiga HD problems/crashes recently and re-unpacking 1000+ games is painful annoying, even in WinUAE.

Anyway, i would use your frontend for sure.

Thanks for the offer Zert0, I think I'm good for now

Retro: I'll look into supporting zipped files but it's going to be after I get everything else done so it may never happen

Cheers for the speaking-up-ness.

I guess if 10 people use it I can be happy

Trouble is, I've probably found the 10 pickiest bastards on the planet

A name suggestion: WHD Opus... that has an old Miggy program connection to it...

Looks very promising my friend.. I seem to remember that it would not consume any memory that could affect 2mb chipram dependant games as the app would kill itself before launching the game right?

LZX support might be easier, just unpack when the player selects a game to play, and then re-pack it when he exits.

Though determining when the player exits a game might not be so simple!

Well all my games are already zip packed, I'm not repacking them all again!

It's easy enough to figure out when they quit and just run a script to zip them back up. As long as the user presses the quitkey to quit the WHDLoad game.

Yeah it kills itself completely, just leaves one small file (less than 1kb) in RAM so it knows where you were in the menu when you loaded a game.

It should work well on a plain CD32 so making new CD32 compilations should be simple!
