Deluxe Galaga

I just downloaded the newest DeluxeGalaga. The music has changed in that version. But I want to use the original song. I just found a remix on Aminet (http://main.aminet.net/mods/pro/DJH_GRM.lha), but it doesn't "loop" very nice (don't know the correct word, sorry).
Anyway, I'm searching for the original version of this remix. Could someone please upload it to the zone ?

Almost. Seems as if the Galaga version of the song also was already a remix. But this version is also great. Thanks alot for your quick help .

EDIT:
DAMN ! This version of the song doesn't play correctly in DeluxeGalaga. Hopefully someone else has a version of that song (preferably from an old deluxegalaga version, so it'll surely work). BTW: Where and how did you find that song so quick ?

I haven't played the game for a long time. But wasn't there different mods in the ECS and AGA version?

http://deluxegalaga.monroeworld.com/main.htm

Have you tried the PC remake Warblade, absolutly amazing.

Sadly the music of the newest ECS version is the same as in the AGA version, but thanks anyway.

I prefer the amiga version, don't really like the graphics of the pc version.

I'm a mod freak! Trouble is, I can't remember what games a lot of them came from originally... but I do know that the Deluxe Galaga mod was grabbed from mirsoft ( http://www.mirsoft.info/top100am.php ). This site has thousands of Amiga mods.

Also, I use the Pro Wizard in WinUAE that rips mods from games. I tried it with Galaga and it ripped five mods, one of them being the hi-score tune. Another was a short loop. Another gave no music/sound?! The remainder were "packed files" but I'm unsure how to decrypt them.

It's always a matter of taste, Konrad. But the playability is much higher in Warblade, no doubt.

Version 2.4 ECS is in the Zone, maybe this is what you're looking for.

Registered players of Warblade get access to a package i compiled for WinUAE including Deluxe Galaga v2.6C AGA. It includes the registered version of the game and all mods i could find ever packaged with the original game. (quite a few)

If you want i could make those mods available here.

Could you please upload the package again?

EDIT: In fact I only need to find one song, and I've uploaded it on my webspace.
http://pages.videotron.ca/animeken/QuestionMark.mp3

If you can identify/find it, could you PLEASE upload it?

whoever designed Warbalde, should have been less obsessed with flashy SFX, and more focussed on the sprites, which are abysmally designed.

And the meteors don't even rotate. This shows that people who know about computer graphics, and can implement flashy SFX, nevertheless have no artistic taste, no real understanding of visuals.

Please, go hire an artist for Warblade 2.

You can reduce all "flashy SFX", check the options.

Edgar M. Vigdal (Deluxe Galaga author) made this PC remake, which is superior to Deluxe Galaga in all categories. I loved Deluxe Galaga, but i never went back after playing Warblade the first time. The best shareware game of all times, imho.

Check this: http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=vb_...ezone_faq_item

It won't be there any more though, files only last for seven days.

Also this is a thread about modules and not the game itself

Have you checked Aminet for the game?

i have the aga and the ecs version, but if you hold down fire button during loading the game you can select ecs/aga on the aga version in the prefs editor.

years ago on my trusty a500, i had a version of galaga that came on an assassins disk, the music during game was ambient and a realy cool tune...i've searched high and low for that version and cannot find it

i believe both ecs and aga versions are on BTTR if you are still looking for them.
