 I like jokes.However, I'm searching for the ICD AdIDE controller for A500 (those with 40 pin IDE interface) I found a no working link in Amiga.org. Does anyone have a copy about it? (this time full & readable  )

Surely you dont need one? The document would have said... take out 68k, put in AdIDE board, connect ribbon cable to disk... switch on!

It seems that a short circuit damaged the 1.3 jumper section of my board. The A500 stops boot at the last bright white screen sequence and it doesn't follow to the standard requesting disk screen.
Therefore I would like to know exactly what instructions report about mounting an HDD with the 1.2 jumper. |

usually 1.2 mode means you boot via floppy and then mount the device with the binddrivers command ? if you have a driver disk maybe there're some instructions inside.

from memory my adIDE would not auto boot the hard drive when in 1.2 mode, but the hard drive would still be accessible in workbench. This was over 10 years ago though so don't take my word for it!
