A Finnish game in Finnish! :-P

@utri
Here I managed to dig something out.
There's one. A Poker game in Finnish!
Thanks a lot to Archyx for dumping them!

I upped both DMSes (the 100 Fmk version and the 200 Fmk version) to the zone!

I explicitly stated that these games must be named as "[Tr]". I even pm'ed idoru about this and made the [unk] flag of umut tarlalari into [Tr] but with some unknown reason all Turkish games are now flagged as "Tu" in the latest DATs. There's nothing such as "Tu", please fix it tosec people.

I bought 500 floppy disks loaded with games and utilities today. Two of the disks contains an application that is not yet in tosec, the sequel of it is tosecized but this one is not.

Name: World Atlas
Disks: 2
Company: Centaur Software
Language: English (En)
Year: 1989
Protection: None

It's adfized, transferred to the pc and now in the zone

I have some Greek games but although they're not bad at all, they're all mind games like Trivial Pursuit, you can't play them if you don't speak Greek.

Are these commercial games? If so (or actually even if they aren't) can you post them to the Zone. Just because they're Greek is no reason for them to be lost and not preserved. They were a part of the Amiga scene and should thus be preserved!

I'm updating all the Turkish games in the HOL.

I'm working on:

Ýstanbul Efsaneleri - Lale Savaþçýlarý
http://hol.abime.net/?id=3661

I still need to add stuff like the credit info.

Burseg - is this screen from Ýstanbul Efsaneleri advertising other Turkish games? Umut Tarlalarý is in the HOL (but MIA) - I'm not sure what the other two are.

Yes this screen is advertising other games.
Afaik, "Son Çað" and "Krobb" are never released.

I'll try to grab a screen of umut tarlalari.

Has anyone managed to grab this?
I missed it -- please re-upload if possible.
No screenshots at all in HOL yet, nor are there any credits.
Thanks.

I've uploaded it to the Zone, but there is manual protection in the game.

Thanks Cody!
There's save-state, which I've already managed to bypass some manual protections with (trial and error )

Not anymore

The stupid bootblock prevents the game running on AGA machines so the version I've uploaded has the bootblock replaced with a standard one. At the protection screen for both games just click any combination of buttons and it'll let you through and into the game.

Also Zeka Kutusu (haven't checked Tetramem) has a really crappy memory detection routine so a machine with 2 Mb chip ram but no fast memory will be told that the game needs 1 Mb and refuse to run! Lame!

All work in vain!

Codetapper, mate, since people NEVER know whether you're currently being too busy with another install, it was safe to provide the codes! (A bird in the hand is worth two more in the bush! )
If I had known that you would provide the ADF version in a blink of an eye, I would definitely not have done the work for the codes!

BTW: Correct, that mem detection routine works for slow mem only, therefore it would NOT work on A1000 + Megabox. (A1000 does _not_ have that same slow RAM type as the A500!)

Caverns of Pallè

Hehe, I'm using the search function again -- and end up in this thread again!

Quote:
Actually Caverns of Palle seems to exist on a compilation disk.
Correct, it's Trilogy Mega Game Pack #7.

I have a copy, but I don't upload it because the boot block is completely crushed. Games work, but I get completely weird characters. (Yes, also on teh real thing )

Andreas: Did you realise you can view the codes in plain text in the game file? Depack the file, search for that string that the game asks you and you will see 15 six character strings just below it like so: ##@#@@. Those are the codes the game is comparing your answer to. You could change them all to the same character so 6 left clicks would work for any code.

Of course the crack is much sneakier, it fools the game into comparing the correct answer with the correct answer rather than the correct answer with what you typed in

As for never knowing what I'm doing, join the club! If I feel like doing an ADF crack for HOL I will often do it just for a change!

LOOOL!

Well, I used the l4me h4x0r's method (simply trying through all of them, realizing that I got 64 (0x40) possibilities to get the corresponding code Do NOT dare ask me if I had still done this if there was 7 digits with 0x100 combinations )

Yeah, and I bet if I ask you next time, you're incredibly busy with one nasty track-loaded image, trying to bake another WHD installer out of it

Well if there are games which have not been cracked and are not custom formats you should upload them here to see if Galahad, Amigaboy or myself are available to crack them.

Now that I know how you worked out the codes I can see how you might have been a little annoyed to find the full crack!

For next time, here are some hints:

Always depack the main file with XFDDecrunch.
Search for any ASCII text on the protection screen!
If you find some text, search around it for a table. Often values are stored very near to the text.
If in doubt, contact your local cracker!

I don't know any finnis localed games for amiga ;-) maybe cause only 5 million finnis. Some multi language titles has a possibility
to choose a finnis language like.
May I clear something out?

-bloodhouse = stardust and super stardust
-terramarque = elfmania (remedy lead artist reward/sami did freelance -touching up for unreleased VGA version)
-bloodhouse+terramarque merged 1995. original elfmania team had all departed by then, except for stavvy & me
-remedy was formed by scene people. they have no further connection with other 2 early finnish companies
-in housemarque, only scy/harri remains from original bloodhouse. only ceo/ilari remains from terramarque. new game coming soon with familiar title.
-new, upcoming game company recoil has one original bloodhouse member and one or two original remedy guys
