And now the Amega 32 adapter is available again. Happy gaming!

Consequently, I have added support to the AmiArcadia emulator for showing the button assignments in a 6-button Megadrive layout.

Happy days! More options for those that have these style of controllers for their amigas!

A nice plus of the Amega32 is the button remapping function. The M30 does have shoulder buttons, but end up unused on Robinsonb5's adapter due to the mapping being hardcoded in firmware to use A and X. I never had much use out of those buttons, but other than that minor quirk, it works flawlessly.

@Retronerd : do you have to use the Amega32 adapter *and* the one indicated in post #1 or just the former ?

Just the Amega32 adapter. One thing though. When you use Psygore's "JoyPortTest" tool, then disable the lowlevel.library support. The direction/button tests only work properly without. I was confused first.

Here' another option: mouSTer

No Mega Drive pad adapter. But you can use different modern controller like PS3, 4 or Xbox 360 via USB. I've tested the latest beta firmware with my 8bitdo Pro+ and Pro 2 controller (wired and wireless via 8bitdo dongle). Everything seems to work fine. Tested official CD32 games and some unofficial WHDLoad patched games on my A1200. No issues at all.

And if you need a Joyboard, the 8bitdo Arcade Stick 80FE works too.

edit:

Also tested the Retro-Bit Sega Saturn 2.4GHz pad on the mouSTER. Works perfectly in CD32 controller emulation. Strangely you have to set it (at least what the manual says) to 3-button Genesis mode by pressing Start+B for a few seconds. Until the LED turns blue (normallly it has to be red). But all CD32 buttons are mapped, not only 3. Another great option imo.
