I did grab a pic and thought I had updated the image on my website. I'll do it tonight. Nothing brilliant inside - lots of platforms each with an enemy and we start smack bang in the middle
I was wondering whether they did like Rare did in Donkey Kong Country 1 (SNES) and have a bonus area INSIDE the bonus area. But killing them all using one snowball would be tough.

Nope, gave up after the first few days as I either got corrupt graphics and / or random resetting to the main screen in the middle of playing the game (despite having 8 lives on one occasion).

Infact the WHDload version is buggy too. If you leave the main menu running for too long (including multiple demo plays) you get a lvl 6 interrupt exception (software interrupt IIRC) error and WHDload returns to workbench with an option to continue.

Regarding the ST score (shown / hidden by pressing the space bar mid-play), that shows the best score for the end of the current level. For example, if you score 1,010 points at the end of level 1, get your score into the top 5(?) and save the scores, when you return in a few days and play the game (with said saved scores) the ST score when playing lvl 1 will be 1,010 (until you beat it).
It's an excellent marker for when you are having a great run, as I have only been judging it by my scores and lives at the bosses. My best run thus far I did with the ST score displayed (11.9 million) - pics attached.

I guess nobody paid attention when I posted a link to the Snow Bros page at Amiga Lore earlier in the thread.

I did and went to the link but couldn't see any obvious way to download the game. Having checked again, I now see that I had to click on the SPS image to download the game. I will check it out after the competition had finished to see how stable it is - nothing worse than having an amazing run ruined by the game glitching

Today, I have confirmed no door on lvl 38. The doors / no doors table now looks like this:

Code:
X=No door      /=Door       ?=Possible

01 X 11 X 21 X 31 / 41 /
02 X 12 / 22 ? 32 / 42 X
03 / 13 X 23 X 33 X 43 X
04 X 14 / 24 / 34 X 44 X
05 X 15 X 25 X 35 X 45
06 X 16 X 26 / 36 X 46
07 X 17 X 27 X 37 X 47 X
08 / 18 X 28 X 38 X 48 /
09 X 19 X 29 X 39 X 49 X
10 X 20 X 30 X 40 X 50 X

Thanks, I finally managed a full run!

Level 47 was brutal, I lost about 8 lives. I killed all but one baddie with a snowball on Level 48 , but I beat the endboss (which I'd never seen before) while on my last life

Bugs: The SPS version should be the most solid I'd expect. Dont forget this is an unreleased game and may be unfinished? The WHDload version has been flawless for me so far (apart from the cycle-exact glitch on the final screen). I wonder if there is any way to install the whdload version onto a HD ADF?

Wow, Great work Retro - works great. Maybe this was the solution all along. If this game comes up in the knockout I think this would solve most loading issues straight away.

I've been quiet this round since whatever spare time I've had has mostly been spent on GTA5
Think I got only 1 door and missed many opportunities with 1 remaining enemy.
Also lost a tonne of lives trying to get the stupid door on lvl 48 (which I again missed 1 frikkin' enemy )

Clearly.. this game still annoys the **** out of me

I thought the official date of release is supposed to be tomorrow, but they are already on ebay. I'm hoping to get mine next week after the rush. Then you wont see me for a while either. When did you get yours?

Totally OT

A work colleague got his game a couple of weeks ago. I think he bought his online.

Yep it launched on the 17th and that's when I grabbed mine
It's very.. shall we say.. immersive.

I scored better on snow bros last night but it wouldn't affect my current place.. finished the game with 21 lives left but missed the door on lvl 48 again .
Will have a few final attempts tomorrow

I don't mean to be argumentative but I'd prefer it if you posted your scores, especially as our scores are so close, I'd like to know what I'm aiming for. I don't think it's fair for me to try hard to get five million points if you've already got 5.1 million in the bag but haven't posted it.

I didn't play it today, just spent 3 hours 30 minutes playing Bomber... ( it isn't worth playing for that long )

For those with GTA V, be careful of the saves glitch - you may find your cars (and upgrades) vanishing unless they have already released a patch.

@lonewolf: Lucky I decided to hold off on upgrading vehicles..

Had 2 more goes at snow bros.. both times missed the door on lvl 48 by 1 enemy. I find it way too frustrating that everything depends on 1 door right at the end of the game, so I'll happily retire from this round

Has it to be said that this is one beautifully realised and drawn conversion on the Amiga
