Pacman's 30th Birthday...
Is it so long?
Goto Google homepage and you can play Pacman on the actual Google avatar at the top with your cursor keys (Click the avatar to get it going)... Last edited by Paul_s; 21 May 2010 at 21:52. |

I stuck in some of the letters which is a but annoying.
But isn't amazing that a full size arcade cabinet thirty years ago can be emulated in a small search engine box! |

Yeah, the playable thing is the sh*t!
Some ppl confessed that they accidentally pressed a cursor key and all of a sudden, Paccy moved around! HEHE ! Hope I get a way to rip this so I have it off-line tomorrow, too... Unless someone beats me to it... |

If anyone just fancies a quick go of Pacman on their Amiga - I have zoned Classic Pucman by Augenblick - in my opinion the best Pacman version ever released for Amiga... unless you think another version was better...?

Update: I actually managed to get this working offline now, after a few tweaks in the javascript source. Hooray! Only downer: Couldn't get sound to work...I think you really need a pre-configured server for that.

I wonder if namco would have still changed the name from pucman to pacman if that certain person did not change the letter P of pucman to a F in the arcades.

That's why "we" try to preserve that, in case they don't.
But the Google team are clever enough to be able to count to three, i. e. to know that the app will appear on whatever obscure site if they don't host it themselves But I guess they WILL keep it to get all the attention themselves (well, it would not be Google if they did not ) |

It should at least stay at their Doodles page once it's gone from the main page, as every other special header to date has.
