kind of late for me. it was toki on an amiga 500 in 1992, at my cousins place. I was blown away by the graphics and music. I saved up for an amiga, but 2 years later when I finally could afford one, my dad convinced me to get an 486 pc instead.... I'm kind of glad he did, but man did I miss out on some gems :-)

I canno remember which game 'twas, but perhaps it was defender of the crown.
Other than that the first game I remember and still haunts me was called either "hack games" or "dungeon hack". A simple adventure game where your cursor sized character wandered around levels in a dungeon with your faithful dog, fighting your way past all sorts of nasty critters and eventually starving or finding death in battle. I wish I knew what it was... |

Tis a difficult one.. Probably either Obliterator, Marble Madness, Bubble Bobble, Wizball or Druid 2: Enlightenment. My first "live" witnessing of the Amiga in action was at my cousins' around 1988 and those were the games he had.
I remember Obliterator having a huge effect on me and I was struggling with the mouse control having never used a mouse before. I would then reside watching in awe as my cousin played the game. |

First Amiga Game I witnessed? Lotus II on an Acorn A3010... it counts IMHO because it was an identical port of the Amiga version. Played a lot of Amiga games on my Arc that way...... a loooong time before I actually got an Amiga

The first game I witnessed on the miggy was FA/18 interceptor in 1988. Just the idea I could fly a jetfighter made me wet my pants at the time.

Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo, it was around 1992 on a friends Amiga 1500, well it was his Dad's computer!
At that time I still had a ZX Spectrum 48k so I thought that game was amazing in terms of graphics and sound (I was only 11!). I think a few months later I was the proud owner (via my parents) of an A500+ and my first experience on that was Captain Planet, so yes I had the Cartoon Classics pack. |

The first game I experienced in an Amiga was Robocop, Double Dragon or Chase HQ. Going from an Atari 2600 that I had and the machines likes the NES and the Mega Drive that some friends had, the Amiga was like going from a horse to a Harrier Jump Jet. The graphics were as close to the Arcade machines at the time and from then I just had to have one.

My first games was Space Baller (which was included with my Amiga on a disc which also had a piano program, a texteditor and a feature which made your Amiga speak what you wrote) and Wings. Got it all on x-mas eve. A few days after this I found out that a guy close to me also had an amiga and he provided me with Nitro, Wings of Fury and Nuclear War. Good times!

When I got my first A500 at the age 7 or 8 it came with two games; Cloud Kingdoms and Hong Kong Phooey. I also got an issue of CU Amiga which had UbiSoft's classic Zombi on the coverdisk. I'll never forget those games.

Yes, I think Alcatraz is better than Hostages, it's more playable but I don't like level with wall climbing.
